Member Portal
A self-service portal where members can view their details, download documents, and request changes — white-labelled to your society.
Magic link authentication
Members log in by entering their email address. CBSMembers sends them a secure link — valid for a short window — and clicking it signs them in immediately. There is no password to create, remember, or reset. This dramatically reduces the support burden for your administrator and removes the most common point of friction for members who only log in once or twice a year.
Login links expire after use and cannot be reused, so they are safe to send over email.
My Details
Once logged in, each member sees their own record: name, address, contact details, bank account information (masked for security), correspondence preference, and a summary of their share holdings across all classes. The information is read-only — members can see exactly what the society holds on them, which builds trust and reduces queries.
Document download
Share certificates, dividend statements, and any other documents the society has published to a member's record are available for download directly from the portal. Documents are stored securely in your object storage — accessed via the portal but never publicly visible. Members can retrieve their own documents at any time without contacting the administrator.
Edit requests
Members can submit a request to change their details — a new address, updated bank account, or changed correspondence preference. The request goes into a pending queue in CBSMembers for an administrator to review and approve. Nothing changes in the main record until it is approved, so there is no risk of unvalidated data entering your register.
Administrators see all pending requests in a dedicated screen, can approve or decline each one with a single click, and the member's record is updated automatically on approval.
White-labelled to your society
The portal displays your society's name and logo throughout. Each society gets their own
web address — typically yoursociety.coop/members — so members reach it
directly from your own website. They see your brand at every step, not ours.
You can see this in action with the Stockwood CBS demo portal:
Open portal demo →Granular access control
Portal access is controlled per member. You can enable or disable portal access for any individual without affecting others. Document download is controlled separately — useful if you want members to be able to see their details but not yet download documents, or vice versa.
When a new dividend run is approved, statements can be published to members' portals automatically, with no extra step for the administrator.
