Terms of Use — CBSMembers

1. Who we are

CBSMembers is developed by Sebastian Parsons and distributed by Stockwood Community Benefit Society, a community benefit society registered in England and Wales (stockwoodcbs.org). References to "we", "us", or "CBSMembers" in these terms mean Sebastian Parsons and Stockwood CBS acting together.

2. Licence to use

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use CBSMembers solely for the internal membership management purposes of your society or organisation. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the software to any third party without our prior written consent.

3. Who may use it

CBSMembers is intended for use by authorised staff and administrators of Community Benefit Societies and similar organisations. Access requires credentials issued by us or by your society administrator. You are responsible for keeping those credentials secure.

4. Your data

CBSMembers connects to a database that you or your hosting provider control. We do not have access to your members' data unless you explicitly share it with us for support purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of CBSMembers complies with applicable data protection law, including UK GDPR.

5. No warranty

CBSMembers is provided in good faith but without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted. You should maintain your own backups of all membership data.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any loss of data, loss of revenue, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of CBSMembers. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of CBSMembers after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The current version will always be available at this address.
